WAI – Manga Maha, Awa Kotahi, One river many streams

Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History,
Masterton

March – May 2019

An exhibition by Sam Ludden, WAI seeks to reconnect the Wairarapa community with its waterways and wetlands and advocates for the rivers of our region through art.

It was a privilege to be part of the community Sam bought together to share his vision in Project WAI, to work for Sam making eels, to join in the enormous effort by many volunteers and friends with installation, and to be included as an artist once again collaborating with Sam to make the Puna bowls together – Wai Māori (freshwater) Puna Wai Bowl and Wai Tai (seawater) Puna Wai Bowl
